Recruitment and Training
Staff are encouraged to attend courses regularly to keep abreast of both mainstream and special needs’ developments. Courses are planned according to the specific needs identified in the School Improvement Plan. Teachers feed back information at staff-meetings and complete written evaluations.
The Hospital School hosted a conference at the Institue of Child Health to promote the DfES Statutory Guidance "Access to Education for children and young people with medical needs". The empthasis was on Mental Health issues.
Recruitment
When vacancies arise we advertise in the Times Educational Supplement and/or The Guardian and/or eteach pages of The Independent, in accordance with our Equal Opportunities and Pay Policies. We do not accept CVs for teacher vacancies.
Placements
We accept undergraduate placement students, in two main areas:
- ICT & related subjects
- Psychology
